NJSL to Host Lineage Society Panel Discussion

In understanding our lineage, we can gain a deeper appreciation for our families and all they endured in their journey to the present. Now, this National Family History Month, the New Jersey State Library is here to help you connect to your past with their latest webinar.

The New Jersey State Library is excited to present a virtual panel discussion with representatives from four major lineage societies throughout New Jersey. Featured speakers for this afternoon include:

  • Terry Brasko, Registrar – Swedish Colonial Society
  • Evelyn McDowell, Chairperson, Board of Directors – Sons and Daughters of the U.S. Middle Passage
  • Diane Oliver, State Regent – New Jersey Daughters of the American Revolution
  • Mark Schmidt, Executive Director – The Mayflower Society

The afternoon’s conversation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Zoom. If you want to attend, you can register online here: Register – NJSL. It is entirely free to register. Throughout the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to learn what benefits you can gain by joining a lineage society, what requirements are needed to apply, and what the application process looks like.
